Alpha Terms of Use
Policy version 2026-09-21
These terms govern the Voxelix website, client, launcher, Studio, and hosted game services. Voxelix is operated by Kyle Plovie, operating as Voxelix (we or us). Contact [email protected]. These terms apply when you affirmatively accept this version; merely viewing this page does not record agreement.
Eligibility and accounts
This alpha is invitation-only and limited to people aged 16 or older. If you are under the age of legal adulthood where you live, use Voxelix only with a parent or legal guardian's permission after they review these terms. Our age screen relies on information you provide; it is not identity verification. Your declaration of permission is not a separate agreement made by your parent.
Provide accurate eligibility information, protect your password, and do not share, sell, or transfer your account. We may restrict access if we learn an account does not meet the age requirement. Contact support if you made an eligibility mistake. Do not submit identity documents unless an appropriate secure process is separately arranged.
An experimental, free alpha
The current alpha is free. Features can change, stop working, or disappear. We may reset progress, inventories, or worlds, suspend testing, or discontinue the alpha. Keep your own copies of your creations. Alpha virtual items and balances have no promised cash value, redemption right, or guaranteed carryover to a future release. Any future paid offering will have separately disclosed pricing and terms before purchase.
Permission to use Voxelix
Subject to these terms, you may install and use the supplied software for authorized play, testing, and creation. This nonexclusive, nontransferable permission includes normal installation and updates, reasonable backup copies, your own Studio scripts, and documented import/export features. It does not permit reselling the platform or presenting an unauthorized copy of our service as Voxelix.
Software and access restrictions
Except where we expressly authorize it, a third-party license permits it, or applicable law prevents a restriction, you agree not to copy, redistribute, sell, sublicense, or modify the platform software beyond the uses permitted above; decompile, disassemble, reverse engineer, or attempt to derive its nonpublic source code; bypass access controls or rate limits; access another person's account or nonpublic data without authorization; or disrupt the service.
Do not use automated tools to bulk extract nonpublic technical information, account information, platform software, or other users' content without permission. Documented APIs used within their permissions and limits, and crawling we expressly permit, are allowed. Do not remove or misrepresent applicable license or attribution notices.
These are contractual conditions, not a claim that every component is copyrightable. They do not prohibit independently developed competing software merely because it has similar functions, your own game scripts, permitted use of samples, lawful commentary, or rights that cannot be waived. Third-party and open-source licenses continue to govern their respective components.
Ownership and your creations
We and our licensors retain the rights we hold in the platform. We do not claim ownership of public-domain material or your independently owned work. Do not impersonate Voxelix or describe an unofficial product as official.
You retain the rights you hold in uploaded games, scripts, and assets. Upload only material you have permission to use. By uploading, you grant us a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, copy, technically adapt, transmit, display, and run it as reasonably needed to operate and secure Voxelix and provide the publishing or sharing features you choose. This includes format conversion and previews, and processing by our service providers. This license does not authorize selling your content separately or training AI models on it.
Publishing a playable game does not itself license others to republish its source or assets. Content delivered to players can nevertheless be copied by recipients; do not upload secrets. Request removal at [email protected]. The operational license ends when content leaves active service, except for recovery backups and records reasonably needed for legal obligations, security incidents, or disputes. We cannot retrieve copies already obtained by other people.
Rules, reports, and account restrictions
Follow the Community Rules linked with these terms. Report abuse, suspected infringement, account concerns, or security issues to [email protected]. Do not access other users' information or disrupt the service to demonstrate a vulnerability.
We may remove content or restrict access for rule violations, security threats, legal requirements, or operation of the alpha. Where practical and lawful, we will explain the action and consider an appeal sent to support. Immediate action may be necessary. You may stop using Voxelix and request account removal through support; there is currently no self-service deletion button.
Feedback and service limitations
You may voluntarily offer suggestions that we can use without payment or credit. This does not transfer ownership of separate code or artwork you contribute; substantial contributions should have a separate agreement. Do not disclose third-party confidential material.
To the extent permitted by law, this experimental service is provided as is and as available, without a guarantee of continuous, error-free operation or suitability for a particular purpose. These terms do not exclude rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded.
Changes and questions
We identify each Terms version and retain it for reference. Material revisions will be presented for a new acceptance before further account activity. We do not treat changes as retroactively accepted. The Privacy Notice describes information handling; acknowledging that notice is not consent to unrelated processing.
